April 15, 2009 – Sintek starts as Color Filter provider and steps into Touch Panel field by producing ITO Sensor Glass. In the meantime, Sintek invests Touch Panel Module, by adhering ITO Sensor Glass, FPCa, and Cover Lens. Furthermore, process IC firmware and driver development. Finally to provide customer Touch Panel total solutions.
Use 5.0G glass substrates to produce Capacitive Touch Panel products Sintek general manager CHUN-YU LIN demonstrated, Sintek is the first company utilizing 5.0G (1,200mm x 1,300mm) substrates for Capacitive Touch Panel production. Even the size of substrates is less than twice of 4.0G (730mm x 920mm), the cost efficiency, no matter in various size of panel arrangements, are much more than twice of its valve. Thus, made Sintek owns great cost advantage in the Touch Panel field.
Sintek has the professional Color Filter production experiences. This would be an advantage step into Touch Panel field, and provide one-dimensional and two-dimensional Capacitive Touch Panel products. Besides, the ITO sensor glass of Projected Capacitive Touch Panel is highly compatible with Color Filter production procedures. This advantage, not only reduced invest expenses, but also increase product maturity rapidly. In the future, Sintek will take the experience for Touch Panel products.
One-dimensional and two-dimensional Capacitive Touch Panel products decreased large portion of production cost Mr. Lin indicated, in the product applications, there are one-dimensional and two-dimensional capacitive products. One-dimensional capacitive product has simpler structure, and good to peruse cost advantage and simple functional product, such as digital picture frames.
Not only support various touch points, two-dimensional Capacitive Touch Panel products also provide many advantages, such as, long product life, and low production cost. Comparing to Film on Glass Touch Panel structure, Capacitive Touch Panel products use Microtouch theory and non machinery wire, can extend the longer product life. In addition, the simple structure with glass and cover-lens, makes transmittance ratio reaches 90%, which reduce back light module cost and improve the product duration.
Sintek general manager CHUN-YU LIN pointed that Sintek is improving large/middle size of Projected Capacitive Touch Panel production ability. Current monthly capacity is 100K sheet in 1,200mm x 1,300mm Color Filter products, which is technically able to transfer to ITO sensor glass production. Seeing from panel arrangement advantage, this could produce 7” panel for 9,100,000 pieces.
Provides small/ medium/ large size of Touch Panel products iPod brought the cellar phone fashion in touch panel function. Sintek initial design focused on cellar phone 3.2” and 3.5” products. For mid/long term development, Windows 7 will go on the market in the end of 2009, which emphasize on various point touch function, and increase the demand in Netbook and Notebook. Sintek will also focus on 7”, 8.9”, and 10.1 products or above.
In the meantime, Sintek develops 17” products for monitor closely, and continue to develop large size products. Not only improves Projected Capacitive Touch Panel product applications, but also expects to increase influence in Touch Panel field. |
